A simple job posting in 2008 introduced Jay to the profession of land surveying. What began as a new career path soon became a calling, leading to a career built on technical excellence, curiosity, and an unwavering desire to understand the principles behind the work.
Today, as a Professional Land Surveyor, Certified Floodplain Surveyor (CFS), and holder of an Associate's degree in Land Surveying, Jay believes that a survey is far more than lines on a map or stakes in the ground, it's the thoughtful interpretation of evidence to accurately define and communicate the story of the land.
His work is built on accuracy, integrity, and a commitment to understanding the principles behind every project. Whether researching decades-old deeds, establishing high-precision control for aerial mapping, preparing ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, or helping property owners better understand their land, Jay approaches every challenge with curiosity, determination, and integrity. He believes the best decisions come from understanding the "why," not simply following convention, and he continually seeks opportunities to refine procedures, improve workflows, and expand his knowledge.
Beyond the profession, Jay values faith and family above all else. He has a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, honesty, and lifelong learning.
